Events

Raising funds for specific purposes, for example, to pay for an operation for a dog or to help building a clinic, is essential to our charity.  We also do regular collections points where people can donate old blankets, dog beds, collars, cleaning products, food, medication that’s not needed anymore etc.

Reoccurring events

ALDI Collection point

Every first Saturday of the month, we have a collection point at our local ALDI in La Línea.  People can have a chat with us about the charity and often they are very kind and buy cleaning products or animal essentials while they do their personal shopping and then, on the way out, they donate them at our stall. We then distribute the goodies to the different shelters, depending on their needs at that point. This has become a sort of institution and we’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity.

Markets

Another regular fundraiser are the markets in Sabinillas (on Sundays) and San Roque (on Saturdays). Time and volunteer permitting, we try to do one each every month. We’ve been very lucky to have received so many donations of second hand clothing, books, dvds, games kitchen supplies, toys etc which we then sell. Usually, we generate a profit of 180 – 200 Euros per market which is incredible. We love doing the markets and always bring some music and coffee and snacks to make the most of it!  If you fancy joining us, we always need helping hands. From experience we know that the more volunteers we are, the more we sell! 

Big events

A few times a year, we try to organize bigger events, often to raise funds for a specific shelter or cause.  All of our events have been very different but always great fun and successful.  They are a great opportunity to support local businesses, artists and a way of combining entertainment with a a good cause.
